Our Pastors

Pastors Moses and Christie Francis

It’s been said that life is all about choices and decisions.  That has been true in the lives of Moses and Christie Francis.

The decision of Moses (a Houston native) and Christie (a resident of Dallas) to attend the same university and take part in ministry, has produced a marital union of nearly 19 years, a ministry team that has spanned great than 20 years and 3 unbelievably wonderful children.

Moses came to the reality of Jesus early in his childhood through a personal experience with the presence of the Lord.  Since that time he has been active in minstry for over 24 years, serving in various capacities of student and church ministries.  One of the many impacting passages of scripture on Moses’ life has been Psalm 116:12-14.

At age 13, Christie had an encounter with Jesus that would be a forshadowing of His move upon her life in her latter teen years.  Coming to know Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior at the age of 18, Christie has valued the wisdom of the Lord and the truth of the Bible as evidenced in her most treasured passage of scripture, James 1:5.

Pastor Moses

Growing up in a single parent home as the oldest of 4 boys, Moses had to grow up fast, but from early on in his life he knew the presence of the Lord was upon him.  A disappointment in early childhood is what GOD would use to make Himself known and real in Moses’ life.  Because of that experience, he holds on to one of the greatest truths in his life…God is not a respector of persons.  He says “if God would make Himself known to me and speak to me as a child, a little black kid in Houston, TX, I know He is speaking to others as well”.

Like most youth, Moses found an outlet through sports, in particular his love of football.  This love of football would take him through his high school years to college at East Texas State University (now Texas A&M – Commerce) where he would become a walk-on scholarship athlete and team captain for the Lions.  He says what he treasures most is what the Lord did in his life off the field and through the ministry Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

“Life is not without it’s obstacles and challenges, but God proves to be greater than them all and His love and sacrifice for us is beyond compare.”

In going through the storms of this life, along with the challenges of his Christian walk Moses has personal testimony of the overcoming power of the Almighty God.  His desire is that all would come to know the mighty hand of the Lord to save, deliver and call to be a disciple.

Over the years Moses has served in various ministry capacities from campus FCA President, Student Camp Leader, Leader of Men’s and Marriage Ministries, Church Elder and Children’s Pastor.  He welcomes any invitation to share this great Gospel truth that Jesus saves!

Pastor Christie

Christie is a happy and devoted wife and best friend to Pastor Moses Francis.  Their story of God bringing them together is one of her most valued testimonies.  She’s also a grateful mother of 3 amazing children that stand as evidence of God’s great grace towards her daily.

Christie has enjoyed serving and leading in various ways in her adult years alongside Moses.

She has walked in the anointing in a 5 fold capacity throughout her servanthood onto the Lord.  Her passion is to see people encounter the complete and accepting love of God into their lives and enjoy the life of an overcoming believer.
